Hi, I love fighting games. I also have some out of the box ideas for them. I was wondering if I should get the Universal Fighting Engine on the unity assets store. I don’t have the money and don’t know their scripting and was kinda wondering if it was worth it at all.

How hard is it to make a fighting game? As far as I know you just need these scripts.

– health
– combo lists (optional)
– Hitboxes
– Supermoves (optional)
– character intro (optional)
– Movement
-Stun effects
– ko animation/scene
– slow motion script (optional)
– Hit effects (kinda bleeds into the hitboxes and stun effects)

That is all I can think of for now… And I’ve played a ton of fighting games…

Main question, is UFE a good choice and where should I start when trying to make a fighting game?

If you’re new into the game development world, I suggest not buying it. Learning to code from scratch is alot of fun and it helps you learn faster.
