I am so excited to release Teddy Bears vs Bed Bugs! It is a 3D Tower Defense game, where your goal is to defeat the evil Bed Bugs with your Stuffed Animal Army!

The development was long and hard, but I did it, even if it’s not exactly how I imagined. I appreciate any feedback, good or bad, as it helps me improve. Thanks for the support everyone!

PS: Sorry Dion, still couldn’t get the WebGL version to work but I’m trying 🙂

Play it HERE: http://www.kongregate.com/games/HunGARE/teddy-bears-vs-bed-bugs

Awesome!
I’ll try it out tomorrow. 🙂
Too bad about the WebGL, but it’s very new… Guess I’ve got to open internet explorer 😉

Great!
I’ve played through it up until the second level, 3rd (or 4th?) wave, and I must say I am really liking it. The models and art are quite simplistic which I feel really fits the theme nicely. It’s a very enjoyable game I could spend some time on trying to complete.
It might just be me, but I found the dificulty scaling was quite reversed; it was hard for me to kill a bed bug at the start of a level, but further on I found it extremely easy to defend the child.
Something I’d suggest would be an indicator to what’s coming next wave. I was not prepared for the flying bug in level 2, and it seems you cannot hit it (or it’s very hard to hit it) with your own handheld cannon (I don’t know if that’s intentionally done).

Overall I think it’s a very well made game; it has nice, fairly smooth and enjoyable gameplay, and I’ll probably waste some hours on it trying to fully complete it. Greatly done, HunGARE!

Thanks a lot Snowy! Yeah I probably should have done more testing with the difficulty scaling, and I may add indicators for what bugs are coming next. I was trying to go for a trial and error sort of approach for levels, but that may only work in theory. I appreciate the feedback, thank you!

Ok, played it!
I like it, though it has a lot of rough edges…

Aiming doesn’t really feel natural. The projectile just comes out way too low.
The upgrades say: +1 damage. I’ve got no clue how much that is… I think it should say: +XX% damage.
The drums are Very repetitive!

Ok, enough negativity!
3D! Always a plus in my book.
Original concept an theme.
Nice sound effects.

I actually don’t think you should tell the player what’s in the next wave. There are not a lot of enemy types, so everyone should be able to deal with it.

Summary: Well done. Better than your previous games!

I appreciate it Dion! Yeah sorry I’m not very good at making music. I worked on the aiming a little bit, and it’s kinda the way it is because I wanted 3rd person, but I may change it. Thanks for playing!

A late review but here I go

Bugs, bugs, bugs. 1) Game freezes my whole browser with an extremely common pop up Warning: Unresponsive script. Reloading the page sometimes is frozen so i must completely shut the browser down.

2) I actually fell out of the map. At first i though it was cool since i got to explore the bedroom but the i realised there is no way to get back up. Then the game froze 🙁

What I enjoyed was the original idea of 1 st person mode but the is a lot of feature such as i believe cancelling turrets or even resetting level missing. Even a health bar above the bugs would be nice. I actually haven’t played much as whenever I do it freezes and I must switch browsers every time i want to play. Maybe the freezing is due to web player in the first place.
Game has a lot of potential but i’m not sure if it was executed , but either way it was your first tower defence so you can always learn from it. I would definitely say you should make a sequel polishing it more and it could certainly get popular

Thanks MarsGames! I haven’t gotten any feedback of crashing except from you yet, but I will look into it.
