Hey Guys. I am proud to release my new game Ambrosia to Kongregate!

Ambrosia is a management strategy game where you must control the sun, moon, and rain to grow your crops and keep your farmers alive. There are some setbacks along the way, but you must persevere.

This is just a “little” side note down here. Honestly the state of the game right now is not where I want it to be. I honestly just spent the past few days finishing what I needed to to release it, and haven’t spent too much time debugging it. I have seen occasional bugs, but I really don’t want to fix them. I probably will spend a little time to if some of them are really bad, but I just want the game uploaded. I made a mistake early on making the game by not organizing/optimizing the code. By the time I found my mistake, it was too late and to fix it would probably take longer than to finish the game, so I just decided to get the game out there. This isn’t so much of a game to me more of a learning experience. I’m sorry that this is not the greatest quality I could make it, but I honestly just want to move on and work on something that I can actually get organized early on from what I have learned from this game. Some advice I would give to people in a similar situation is if you are almost done the game just finish it and be done with it, or if you are like half way done or less, than just move on. I wasn’t very happy with making the game because I knew I could make it much better, but couldn’t really fix it without spending a lot of time on it that might have been just a waste. I think I am going to take my next game slow, and really focus on organization and spend more time to learn better coding. I might even do a little freelancing just to learn some more and expand my horizons. This project might have been a little ambitious for me, but overall I am happy that I learned SO much from this game, even if it wasn’t how I wanted it.

Let me know if there are any major bugs/improvements you want to be made, and I will try my best to implement them. Thank you everyone on the forums for your help and making my experience so much better.

Hey man! Nice work!

The game is a bit rough and the concept might need to be worked out better, but it’s a really nice try.

I’ve dealt with project organization before. The multiplayer code for my fps game has been rewritten 3 times…
So yeah, a tip for everyone: Keep your project and code clean!

HunGARE, you’ve said it, you learned a lot from this project, so the next one will be even better!

Great job man! Looks like an awesome game and it plays pretty smoothly. I like the gameplay a lot. The music also fits it pretty good, altough I was expecting another instrument to join in the track. I would say you’ve done a great job overall on this game! Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much! I was trying out a new music program so I only did a little music, but I will learn more in the future.
